Branching Out to Federal Agencies
The Skydyne Company is introducing its expeditionary equipment for federal agencies. Prior to this, Skydyne’s Expeditionary Support Equipment line was primarily offered and sold to DoD customers. After receiving positive feedback and interest from emergency service and border patrol personnel, Skydyne decided to broaden the scope of its sales efforts. It became readily apparent that mobile federal officers and emergency service workers needed expeditionary equipment. Therefore, as of this year, Skydyne has begun and will continue attending federal and emergency expositions. Here are two shows Skydyne recently exhibited at and one that is right around the corner:
Governor’s Hurricane Conference and Border Security Expo ’24
During the Governor’s Hurricane Conference and Border Security Expo, The Skydyne Company demonstrated its new Komodo Mobile Workstation – Double (also known as our Tactical Field Desk). This “workstation in a box” comes with already-integrated computer monitors, keyboards/mice, USB docking stations or SKVM switches, a power strip, and display cables. Skydyne offers both off-the-shelf and/or program-approved hardware as needed. When being stored or transported, the desk folds into a carrying case, and setting it up takes approximately 3 minutes. The middle “body” of the desk includes drawers or dividers depending upon the requirements of the user.
Additionally, Skydyne displayed its Komodo Monitor Stand. This monitor stand can hold up to two TVs, is designed with a quad-pod base which gives it astonishing stability without additional weight, is equipped with an easy-lift mechanism for the top-most monitor, and can collapse down into a carrying case/bag for transport. In its carrying case, the Komodo Monitor Stand weighs only 35lbs.
Skydyne has also begun offering the Komodo Monitor Stand as one component in a larger package. Now, the Komodo Monitor Package comes with one Komodo Monitor Stand, two Komodo Monitor Protective Cases, and two Christie Digital TVs.
The Christie Digital TVs (pictured in this article) are available with and without Bezels. The thin-bezel Christie Digital TVs are great when the top monitor is used for one purpose and the bottom monitor for another. Alternatively, there is another option for the user who would like to create a media wall with an almost seamless picture. This is the bezel-less Christie TV. Using the Komodo Monitor Stand, the user can set up one set of 2 Christie TVs next to another stand (or multiple stands) of TVs. Furthermore, Christie TVs have the capability to communicate with each other. This allows the user to easily orient each TV so that one image displays nicely across the entire TV wall.
But, monitor are fragile and difficult to move and ship. Therefore, Skydyne offers a rugged, protective solution within each Komodo Monitor package: Two Komodo Monitor Cases. These monitor cases are tested to protect monitors shipped flat/horizontal and withstand up to four foot drops. Each case comes with a handle and wheels kit, allowing the monitors to be moved to their destination with less difficulty.
Law Enforcement-Homeland Security Forum & Tech Expo
In the middle of June, Skydyne will attend the NCSI law enforcement and homeland security expo. This expo will take place in the NRO in Chantilly, VA. It will feature guests from many different federal agencies and military branches involved in homeland protection and security. In this show, Skydyne will be bringing its Tactical Field Desk. This desk can be equipped with either Chess Program approved docking stations or with program-approved SKVM switches. Find out more about the show here.
